In this option you will be able to enter text and/or the URL for a link to another website. Once you click on the Button Content option you will see a drop down box listing all the buttons you created while in the Other Buttons option. Highlight the title that you want and then click on Show Button Contents. Or you can click on the Other Buttons drop down box and click one of the buttons you have created.
The following screen will be displayed to edit a URL link button. Click on Button Content and select the title that will have a domain link.
Enter the domain name in the URL field. It is not
necessary to enter http://, just www.domainname.com.
The program has been setup to include that information and will strip it
off if you do enter it. There is also a box that is defaulted with a check to
have the link exit the shopping cart. If you un-check this box, the link will
open a window inside your catalog. Most customers would prefer to have it exit
the catalog. Finally, click on Save URL info. Repeat these steps for any link button
that you have created.
To add the text for a button, return to the Button Content drop down box and select a text link. You can now enter text on this page or format the document through Word or HTML and copy/paste into this text field. Then click on Save Page Text. At the bottom of the screen there is a check box, Append this text to your products' detail page, that can be used to attach this statement to each of your items. This can be used, for example, to provide customers with About Us information or to restate a shipping or return policy. Once the customer clicks Details they will be able to view the statement. Whatever you used for the button name will be the title of the box that appears below other product information.
